Gen 4 or Gen 5 block. Which one should I use for my rod? 454. Tubbed, rubbed and nubbed. As long as the rear bumper slams the ground I`m happy. 513 gears with 31 tall slicks. Its gotta stand.

 Gen IV for sure. I get calls all the time from guys looking for oil pans and timing covers. Allthough most are for V-drives. Im sure there is plenty for auto use.

You want your bumper to slam, all it takes is rear end set up. Get that pinion angle to the point that the pinion gear wants to climb the ring gear, and you'll be bangin bumper. 'Course, you won't 60' worht a shit, but that's the trade. Kinda like a big roost from a jet boat...looks cool, but it's a waste. :D
