Just wondering how many ft/lbs I should throw at them and in what order. From what I was told today its 130 ft/lbs starting from the center then out from left to right, far left to far right, further left to further right. I dont remember what they were tourqed at when it was built, but my builder told me to re-tourqe them just to be on the safe side.

On new gaskets I go in 4 step increments starting at 80 lbs, 2nd step to 100, 3rd step to 120 and final step to 130-140. Use a good thread lubricant like ARP and the sequence should be top center 1st. bottom center 2nd, top right next to center 3rd, bottom right to center 4th, top left of center 5th, bottom left to center 6th.....ect. Clear as mud, huh? For a simple re-torque just pull to 135-140lbs in the sequence described above.

I dont think we used a thread sealent when I first put them in, should I pull them and do that ?
And are there 12 head bolts ?

There are only 10 bolts per head and sealant isn't needed as all BBFs have "blind" holes. Glad to be of service, We never close :D :D

460 jus getn it
