Gee, I don't see an outboard hanging on it. You could easily put a JETDRIVE in that thing and make it a JETBOAT. Quit trying to play moderator Mr. thunder, I'm sure if ***boat needs another one they will ask. J/K :)

OK short timer !!!
Thats right your from Oaky Homa.
I'm selling my 11' 6" Hydro. I don't have a motor for it but the boat is set up for a johnson 25 to 75 hp long or short shaft. Everything else is there, Steering, controls, tank, battery, trailer, and cover. I built the boat. It's fiberglass over plywood with an $800 Imron paint job. It is in near perfect condition.

Your right Steve but there is not a Racing section so I posted it where most of the racers are located. But there is a O/B section.

it's Outboard Racing Jim. I think the key word there is outboard.
As far as the hydro goes, it can be converted to a jet with a little work and a Berk 6JC and a Mazda 1.8L.

Little work come on now, look at all the redesigning that Jet Hydro has done to make his jet hydro go down the track. This O/B hydro is a true 3pt Hydro, it would conpletely destroy the boat to even attempt to convert it to a Jet Hydro.

No not just O/B racing it is Boat racing news.
Do you know who this is ???TNN left right after Tom Black's
crash at 2 pm on Saturday, where he was anounced dead over the PA system, and ESPN left at 7:30 PM after
Cantrell died. He should have walked away by all rights, as the crash was so soft, even considering that it was
over 200 mph. This is why Boat Racing is never going to get big.

no need to send me any more pm's Jim, I could really care less what you think or want. Oh wait, I know, how about you go around and delete numerous spams, redundant posts and flat worthless posts you've made. Now don't forget to to delete them on all the boards and all the names you use.
Now how about moving this to BR?

hey Cas, that thing is pretty cool. I've never been in a cab forward boat, but I bet it would be fun to drive.

That's pretty funny.
Squirtin Thunder has 6,722 posts and 6,700 are of him quoting himself. The others are of him saying, well I don't know what the hell he says.
I guess that makes him a long timer?
Pull your head outa your ass ST.

The only boat that's left over from my youth is a class C 12' hydro. It's still in my mom's basement to this day. The Mark 25 is hurtin. It needs a quickie lower unit.
fun boats. that one needs to loose the seat so you can kneel down and give it some "english" in the turns.

i don't know how those kneel down drivers do that. I'd never be able to get up again after driving like that.

ya know Jim, I was up all night thinking about what you said. You're right, that Mazda/Berk combo just might be too much work. The better way to go would be to put on an outboard jet. Here's some info on them-
For over 40 years, Outboard Jets has provided quality conversion units for outboard motors designed to allow a boat to be used in locations where a propeller driven boat is unable to operate – in shallow, ankle deep water. How does it work? Like Newton’s Third Law says, “For every force, there is an equal and opposite force of reaction”. Water is drawn into the unit through an intake grill by an impeller driven directly by the engine driveshaft. This water is then forced at high pressure and volume through a nozzle directed astern of the boat. The velocity imparted to this mass of water creates an opposite force, and drives the boat forward. Experience the excitement and satisfaction of going boating with an Outboard Jet, where propeller driven craft cannot go!
here's a picture of how it works- (hopefully it's not a red x)
http://www.hotboatpics.com/pics/data/500/3870outboard_jet.JPG
and look at how shallow the water can be running one of these-

I guess the bad thing about them is there's about a 30% power loss when converting to the outboard jet drive....that's a whopping 15 hp on a 50 hp motor!

So if I had a whacker on a tunnel hull and wanted to convert it to a jet, I'd have to post it in the O/B section? Then they would be crying FOUL BALL, Who cares! it's something to look at and type about. I'm sure there is alot of post in here that don't pertain to jets.

Yes, I believe that's the way it works. However, I don't think that you would actually have to do any conversion work in order to bring the post back over here, after removal of the whacker and it's associated pieces/parts. At that time it'd be non-morphed/no drive boat and open to all forums until a drive type has been selected and the work begins............... :) :) :)

I`ve still got a leftover RUDE 200 looper motor at my house. That thing would rock! But my RXP Seadoo rocks and is small. Still would be fun.
