Nice looking boat. What's the set-up? Velvet drive? Casale? Speed vs HP? Messed around with any props? If so, what did you come up with?

Bought this late in the summer, and has only been in the water two times. Pulled the motor out of my hydro and installed just to see how the boat handled. Will completly redo this winter. It has a 12 deg. Casale with a two speed Powerglide and a 11 x 14 three blade. Saw 65 on the speedo. Gear ratio is unknown, but it is high. Starting to collect parts for a blower motor.

What's the story on the velvet drive transmissions?

My buddy has a 72C velvet drive in his 21 Schiada with a blown 540 and has not had any problems for several years now. Before that is was hooked to a NA engine for many years.
Damn Shirkey that Howard looks good, I should have that boat. :boxed:

Thanks Berry, buffed it out before I went to Lake James, Getting ready to start stripping it out, next week hopefully. Got to get this hunting season over with first. Been buying a few parts here and there for it.
