Anyone know of a decent mid-priced hotel on the I-15 between Escondido and Poway??
Heading to San Diego and want to do most of the trip Sat. night without going all the way in.
We'll just be in the room from 11 pm till 9 in the morning.
Thanks :rollside:

As long as we can come to the agreement that the 163 and Clairemont Mesa Blvd is at least 30 minutes from Poway. :D Your post said between Escondido and Poway. ;)
That'll work..........closer to the salt water that way..just trying to save a few pennies for the week..............got a nice oceanfront hotel for the rest of the week and was gonna sneek in a night early to get the party started. :crossx:
Plus I enjoy going to CA at night..........less BS..well...for the most part......last trip to SD a pick up in front of me..in the left lane, lost his right wheel so we all had to do a NASCAR pit stop to the right.......That woke me the eff up. :crossx:
Then if that wasn't enough we had a fog bank the last 15 miles............God I love the CA freeways :p ....better than Boston though where I'm from...At least here you have a little choice of freeway to get jammed up in.

Actually I'm from Providence, RI but went to school in Attleboro and my first job in 1982 was deliveries to in the greater Boston area from Peabody to Roxbury, Framingham up to Haverhill, Lowell, etc.

I am from Boston and actually went to one semester of High School in Roxbury. My dad had a car lot in Roxbury in the 60's and 70's on Columbus Ave.

For years I stayed at the Holiday inn at Miramar and I-15 ( my office was on the other side of the 15. Nice, decent rates, free breakfast and free happy hour , nice people. 2 exits up I 15 there is a new Springfield ? suites. Not bad either.

As another alternative, you could exit the 15 in Temecula and stay at the Pechanga Casino and resort. :crossx:

Yeah Roxbury...........and Dorchester were fun towns..... :crossx: .....I used to deliver cases of cigarettes to the Merit gas stations and Caldor department stores. Made the peeps sign the slip real quick so I could lock the truck back up. :crossx:
I used to have a good 150 cases and just little ole me. A guy a few years before me got knocked out on that run, took the truck and emptied it out. :crossx:

That is why we moved out here. My Dad got a gun stuck in his mouth twice in one week. That was enough.

Hey Rod, have a good time!! We took the kids there last month and did the Wild Animal park and Sea World and also checked out the USS Midway museum.
I love San Diego, the downtown area is so nice, great food and bars.
Have fun, if you haven't been on the Midway tour, it's really cool.
