Why? That placecraft will take a beating in rough water and the freeboard is very short.

Keep the pontoon. My buddy had a 22 Plaecraft for a very short time because his wife was going to kill him if he did not sell it. The boat road terrible in water that was not that rough. The bottom design on the boat is not very good IMO.

Everyone knocks the Placecraft, it is a nice river deck. I would not buy one for the Lake personally. I think in calm river conditions, its a suitable family sled.
If you are looking to upgrade to a custom deckboat over the pontoon. Shop around, my short list based on value, performance etc. If you are set on a smaller deck, I know placecraft is building a new 23 deck, and the Ultra 23 deck is a crazy seller.

HTM Deck
Warlock Deck
Magic Deck
Ultra 26 Deck soon, the Howard is really nice buy pricey.

CzarMarz73;
I looked hard at the Placecraft22. V.nice river boat. but not all that stable for the lake. Owners complain of porpoise, water over the bow in mid to rough water.... Nice people at Placecraft. Check out the layup at Gary's in Havasu. Very approachable people to answer your questions. I stayed away from the 22.
You may be better off with more powerin the Tuner. My own .02

It's all about where you boat and what you like to do. I have a 22'Palcecraft # 6 out of the mold and it's the perfect boat for us. If you boat on Havasu on weekends this isn't what your looking for. Anything under '24 at Havasu probably won't be fun at the end of the weekend.
