why don't you just call up Jack Mc and see if they built any v-drives?
That cruiser looks to be a splash of a Kona.

I've also seen Beismeyers dc that look exactly like it also if theres any connection there.

been there done that. we built a '73 21 footer v-drive (c-500, ls-7 injected, 750 roller, etc, etc, t-400 trans ) was pretty fast in it's day but EVIL does not come close as far as handling.
three piece plates, had to leave center one stationary. if you buried the plates turning was great, if you forgot she would turn a little then roll up on the side (like rubrail in the water) and go straight until it flopped back over to it's original keel and the rudder got wet again. it rode up on the pad at hi speed but if you let off too quick the options were guess which was it was gonna dive to and be ready(hope) or let it dive and try to catch it. we eventually put a much milder B/B in it (maybe 400 hp) and it made a great ski boat
BTW the 21 is the same as kona, beismeyer, challenger with only small cosmetic changes.
I dont think there was ever another v-drive one built as the manufacturer had to be schooled on full length stringers and recesses for cav plates (which they forgot to set on mold and tried to cut in with a router afterwards and cut thru the bottom because they didnt allow for the thickness of the plates)
