Hydro the motors I am dealing with are also on a 28 Skater. Are your motors on the transom or on plates? How far back and at what height? Thank you for any help, I am pulling my hair out on this boat. Boat is running 104-106 at 6200-6350 with 34 four blade merc cleavers?

This info came from a good friend of mine. He is on www.offshoreonly.com (http://www.offshoreonly.com)

WWHey wetwillie...stillll shopping for the right boat. Hugh here with the 99 has a nice boat but I have a few problems with it(and I dont want to bash it in here, I'll be P.C)anyway I have been to DCB many times, Went friday night to look at one in Escondido (teal,pink,purple,I'll just say some of the newer DCB's use much more tastefull colors!)
I'm not in a hurry, this season is pretty much done, gonna see if Dave will make me a smoking deal if I make a deal now and pick up in Feb, :rolleyes:

TOBTEK, Dude take Screamin Pete up on the ride with your wife. My wife felt the same way about cats until we spent a whole day in Donnie's 25 Daytona. The smooth ride sells the tunnels. With us it's just the dollars, but in a couple years I'll be upgradeing to a 26' Mach and as long as the money is right the wife is in total agreement. Of course we have the agreement that the house has to appraise for double the boat so I'll have to upgrade homes before boats. Dave continues to be very cool to me and I 've had my DCB EXTREME for 5 years.
