I believe the last year SWTDs were made is 82, Petrofied is one of the last and it did not run the trim tunnel plates either. It is probably an 81. My 81 never had tunnel plates installed either. My 77 has them as well as my brothers 77.

Why are you calling it a Placecraft? It looks to be a southwind tunnel and they are not alike at all top or bottom. It looks to be a pretty nice boat though you shouldnt have a hard time selling it.

the last year jemco made them was 81. a few were made in norcal later than that. this is most likely a texas splash, as it's in okla. i saw a few of them in marble falls last august - nice boats, with some interesting twists, although this one looks close to original design from the top at least.
personally, i would not run this one without the tunnel plates, but that's just me.

The Dash, is the give-away on the Texas, Bellco Southwind tunnels, the bottom off the dash, is pulled out about an inch or so,right in the center.
you can kind of see it on the blue boat :)
