Doesn't look like either to me. Did it have rattlers or not? Did it coil up before you caught it?

It's a California Cobra. Very poisonous too. You can put him in a tall basket, place a towel on your head, play a flute and charm him. :crossx:

It's for real. It's still on my cousins freezer. He wanted to do a full body mount so we went out and caught one. We used to go snake hunting all the time when we were kids with my Grandpa out at the Salton Sea. If you shine a light in their eyes at night they usually freeze. Then someone else sneaks up behind them and gets them. We have caught tons of them out there over they years. We were never scared because we were with Grandpa. :)

Oh, and seeing how Her454 has the TT logo in her sig, and everyone supporting TT is an asshole according to you, therefore she's an asshole... Ya really might want to reconsider that statement as she's got a lot of property, a few abandoned mineshafts, knows black magic, and has the ability to make people disappear. Probably not a route you'd like to pursue with Her. ;)

I know some will get mad but I've killed plenty of "things" out here. We've found all types of creatures in our tents and right outside. Some guys have found them in their sleeping bags too. Number one rule, shake your stuff out before you get into them, whether it be your sleeping bag or your boots. You don't want any surprises out here.
Besides I'm not sucking poison out of anyone unless it's a female. Sorry bros, looks like you ain't going to make it. Just kidding.

Exactly, I had one living in my yard last year next to my garage. I left him alone after I confirmed it was a Gopher snake. I figured he would keep the rodents away from the boat that is in the garage.

We like to throw cold water on the scorpions. Makes them freeze in their tracks. That and get them to fight camel spiders.

It was wrong to kill that snake. A rattler fine, not safe around kids, or dogs. We live on 10 acres on the Santa Rosa Plateau behind Pendalton. We get a lot of snakes this time of year. We catch the Kings, Gophers, and Water snakes along the streets and bring them to the property for varmit control and as mice traps. I hate to see people kill a snake just because it is a snake. Snakes are fun to watch and hold, they also stop the mice from eating your wiring.
