Convert 21 Daytona

I`ve got an opportunity to buy a nice Daytona outboard------which can`t happen the motor is pretty nice so should be no problem to sell.The question I`ve got and hope doesn`t sound crazy but the price is right what`s it going to cost to repair transom and have a jet installed. This is beyond my experience.I`m thinking if do some of the grunt work may be able to come up with a nice 21 jet fairly right. Ideas? :confused:

I think the transom repair would be easy. Id be wondering if the bottom was the same on outboard vs jet.

Brendella,I was told they were and there was only one mold used for both OB and Jets.I`m just trying to find out before ending up with an OB Thanks for post

I know soeone who a few yrs ago had the transom sealed up on a 21 liberator pickeldork and converted it to a jet. Made a nice jetboat. Budlight
