My wife drove over some wet line paint the other day and left a stripe of paint in the wheel well and bottom portion of the rear fender.

Paint the wheelwell with black spray bomb.....I have had to wet sand ....carefully and buff both rocker panels of a new 300z I had years ago...
once it's dry ....very tough paint...

Try rubbing it out with WD 40,, or I have used Semichrome as well in the past,,,,
One or the other usually works excellent.

"Goof Off" in a spray can, dissolves paint in a jiffy, but doesn't seem to harm car paint
graffiti remover is slower but more gentle
I hear gasoline might do it too.

A die grinder removes almost instantly! :) :) :)

Has gasoline and a match been suggested yet??? It popped up in another thread on how to move a boat. Thought it might work in this application as well. :D :D :D

A carwash/detail place should have those clay bars. They work good ,then polish it back up

Well I would definately say the wife getting road paint on the car needs to lead to the husband getting road head in the car......

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Looks like I'll p/u some Goof-Off tomorrow and try it out. I noticed that there are several different types of Goof-Off. Should I just use the original one?

You can also try a hot water pressure washer as most traffic paint today is water based...

Clay bar for the paint and pressure wash your wheel wells if it's only been on for a few days.....you should be fine. :)

I'll third the vote for Goof Off. Crap works on anything - including those scuffs on your boat when family members run their PWC into your boat (hey, we all have them in our family!).
Google and Goof Off...what would we do without them?
I think the stuff smells strikingly similar to Laquer Thinner

If those dont work, PM me and I'll send you a bottle of our metal polish. They used our product on all those vandalized spray painted Hummers a few years back in SoCal and it worked well.

I have been an automotive car painter for years & have seen this a hundred times. Get the clay bar it will take care of it, just make sure your car is really clean.... & even then you'll probably have to do some buffing after it's all done. Plan on spending several hours on it!

I'd be careful about the rubbing part. Doesn't that paint have a sand in it to become more reflective?

Call your insurance agent and let him get rid of it :D

Use a paper towelette moistened with water and lemon from KFC. It will come off as effortless as diarrhea spraying from your ass after eating a barrel of their chicken.

My first reaction when I saw that crap on her car was "putty knife".

You should have tried a Kleenex and some spit. Works every time.

Lighter fluid is an old body shop trick. My friend runs a body shop in Santa Clarita and my ex-wife did this years ago. He came over with two of his guys and they had it all off and looking new in ten minutes. lighter fluid on a rag hold it in place for 30 seconds and then wipe it off with the same rag. dissolved it almost instantly. I was surprised how well it worked and the piant didnt even have to be buffed out afterwards! Finish off with a dry polishing cloth and some wax and your'e golden. Good luck!! My .02

My next suggestion was going to be to use a Swiffer.

The easiest way is to use a little Laquer thinner. Do not leave it on very long. It will take the unwated paint off quickly and will not bother the original paint. Once the paint is removed wash off any residue.
