Changing oil on my friends boat, what oil do you use or what mixture???? It also has a 10pt oil pan.

I run 20-50...Im sure you will have alot of different opinions on this..........

That is right, 20-50. But I know some people do 50 weight striaght and then add some 20-50. So Im just wondering what some people do...........................

i run straight 50w...only cause of the high heat temps here in AZ...doesnt break down as quick...20w-50 is great oil...i run it in all my vehicles
for everyday use

It also has a 10pt oil pan.Boogie, just be sure that you guys spend an extra dollar or two on a very good, quality brand-name oil filter. DO NOT buy a dime-a-dozen orange Fram POS filter, as they have been the cause of oiling problems on more motors than any other filter I am aware of.

I use rotella t shell oil and a wix filter that oil is still desinged for hyd lifter and wont break down 6 yr 460 turning 5400 all summer long on the colorado river in topock
