It looks like I will join the club this week. Insurance quote from Markel was rough but not as bad as I thought. Scot Conrad at Spectre is an absolute great guy to work with. If you are looking at a new Spectre or a used boat I would give him a call. I also saw some pics of the new 40+ footer Spectre that they are working on and the boat is gonna be sick! Something about shaft drives and rudder got my attention. :) And if you saw the new 32 at Havasu they made some changes and are hoping for mid 120's out of the new Vipers  . Anyway, thumbs up to Scot and hope to see you guys on the water this summer. :rollside:

So what did you get? ....................Power?

I agree Scot Concrad is a great guy to deal with. I have not bought a boat from him YET, but I have a feeling I will be soon enough. Everytime I have been around him he seems like a real good guy to deal with. The new Spectre will be over the top with the design and a boat that is built for shafts or number 6's. Should be another winner.
Congrats, I am assuming you bought "never late"? If not I am not aware of any other 40's that were at the shop. If so, nice ride!!!!!!!!!!

Andy's the winner. :) Yep, Never Late. I don't mind the name but I don't like it on the sides. When the summer is over I'm gonna have that taken off the sides and the deck. Since it's a 40' flat deck I was thinking about "Flat Out". It's got dry sump Sterling 1100's and dry sump #6's so it should run ok. The motors have 15 hrs on them and everything else looks tip top. If there is no hold up in financing I should pick it up next weekend.

Congrats, Never Late is an awesome boat. I love the deck on it, which is cut down more than the usual flat deck. Scot is also a great guy to deal with. He has taken care of me even on stuff that happened before he owned the dealership.
BTW, I think that boat might have been used in the new Miami Vice movie. You should ask Scot, it would be cool to have some of the footage if it was.

Wow, those are great pics! The boat was used in a few scenes but was wrapped in a white sticker film so I dont know if it will be in the movie or what. I did a month worth of filming doing the motocross scene in "Charlies Angels2" but 98% of it got cut so that would be cool if you could pick it out. Scot is a great guy and knows so much about how a boat should work. I love to pick his brain about trim angle, tabs, etc. I always here he is one of the best throttle men in biz and I believe it. He's got a good story about the first time he throttled Bobbits Skater and how Mike was a little nervous at first. :rollside:

Why dont just say it how you really mean it..... Yes, I'll get the high spots you cant reach. Unfortunately for me, that is anything above the trailer.

Skaters are illegal at Roosevelt.
It isn't the laws of the county or state. It is a Skater law. Havasu or Pleasant only, and you are allowed to drive it upside down on Pleasant.
Oh, Mead is OK too.

I don't know. I heard it gets so rough at Pleasant it flips boats with ease. :crossx: Don't make fun of my Roosevelt; hardly any boats, room to run over 100, and nice launch ramps. :rollside: Do you know how many anchors I have lost in Humbug!!!! A Pleasant trip is soon.
