Went to put in my new cam & springs a couple of days ago, and upon pulling the intake found a piece of a ring laying in the valley. So...teardown time.
Turns out I melted #1 down the side, and into the insiide of the piston.
After pricing new 10>1 pistons and all the other parts, I came out to about $900, so that made a 521 kit pretty affordable. It's on the way.
