Thanks it is all Mike Kings design. I have been working at Prime for a little over 2 months. It's been great being able to use my Computer Aided Design / CAD skills to design boat parts with Mike. We are currently trying to expand are product line. dmontzsta how is you boat coming along?
SWEET SHOW US MORE :) :)
I will post more soon. I like this picture the best. Because 90% of the parts in it we made. I know your working on your Kurtis as well. How is it coming along? Prime Marine sell all this stuff from the billet v-drive to the peddle assembly separately. So you don't have to have us build a complete boat to get these v-drive parts.

Mike, that is really cool. All this time I thought you lived in Parker. It made me wonder when you showed up to Ming that day.
My boat is coming along, I hope to have it ready late summer. It all depends on if I do the floors or now, I might just do a few things to the floor then run it a season or two and have them flowed, they are not too bad. Paul with High Flow Dynamics will be assembling my motor, in fact it is in the works right now. We will have to hook up this summer, it is hard to find good kids for Nathan to play with and he seemed to click with yours.
You guys over at Prime Marine make some TRICK stuff, that is for sure. You are working a very reputable place.

Hey Mike, did you run out of stringer washers?
Art, Those are smaller 1/4" bolts that hold on the stainless steel blast plate. They are about two inches apart. So we need to make some smaller ones.
Here is a picture of our billet steering collumn a wheel.

One is for the ignition switch and the other is for the starter. We cut most of the parts in house the Cad stuff we sub-out. We will be installing a 3 axis CNC machine with in the next month.

Very well thought out beautiful installation. Where are the dirty footprint marks and traces of smeared anti-seeze? You must have that thing detailed at the end of each work day. Makes me want to build a v-drive from scratch. VERY tastefull coloring (blue/pewter/grey), just awsome. Congratulations!!

ColeTR2

It's the same amount of work to do a Runner Bottom vs. a B-boat. The boat in this thread, after all the the hardware fabrication was done, took two of us a month to put back together. There is Hundreds of hours that go in to building a boat like this. One thing you learn about rebuilding a old boat, no two projects are the same. And after it's all done, :) you can ask the owner of this boat if it was worth waiting for, I'm sure he will tell you it was worth every minute. One thing we won't do is cut corners to save time every boat has to be perfect when it leaves our shop.

superdave013
06-26-2006, 06:36 AM
yeah but you guys will do a basic install too. I had my schiada's running gear installed at Prime. They did a fantastic job. But it's a basic install and not real fancy. There is NO WAY I could have paid for that super bling bling.
Anyone wanna guess how much that boat cost?? lol
Thier shop rate for v drives is 100 bucks per hour. Think about it. That's has to be a HUGE money boat that we are all drooling over. I'm sure it's worth it but ya gotta have it before you can spend it.
I wish I had more, I'd take mine back and have them finish it.
