on a tube style cooler does the oil go through the tube w/water around it or vice versa. i would think the first choice but it comes with a drain plug that would then be draining oil. i thought you would want to drain the water. thanks in advance.gotta get back to wrenching.

The hotter material should run through the center of the cooler, I am 99.2% sure this is correct.

Got any pics of the cooler?
Yes, the drain should be for water. The coolers I'm thinking off have the water going thru the tubes.

its a 2"x16" tube filled with a bunch of 1/8" tubes. whatever runs through the little tubes also has a 1/8" drain plug.
