I am looking for the type of ceiling fans that mount of brackets an are driven by a common motor that the blades are woven, and wave back and forth.
The type you sometimes see in Mexican restaurants, or at the Elephant Bar, Tommy Bahama's etc.
I know they aren't efficient as fans, but want them to set the theme on the new pad.
Anyone know where to get them???????

I've tried a couple, and they don't sell theese type of systems, and couldn't tell me where to get them.
This is what I'm talking about:

Todd, thanks, that is exactly what I'm looking for. Looks great, if you could find out where she bought the system, that would be great!!
Thanks,
Rick

Try Fanshack.com lots of fans and good prices. There are few places in Phx that have them on the showroom floor. Home Expo has them as I was just in there. HOpe you have tall ceilings

Try calling the Elephant Bar corp offices and ask for purchasing, see if they can tell you where they buy them.

Check out this website Fan (http://www.farreys.com/ceiling_fans/categories/palm_leaf_fans.html) You get to select how many blads and the motor and all that stuff and it looks like the prices start more around 1 grand instead of over 3. You may be able to find more sites on the net. I yahooed palm fans and found this site.
