The white train in the first pic is bad ass, I was in germany two weeks ago and rode on it, 186 mph and like riding on glass.

AMTRACK was about to run 80 mph Spanish built tilt trains from LA to Las Vegas 4 years ago.
Laid special dedicated track,, put a lot into the effort. Really cool trains.
Not as fast as the Euro / Japan trains but still nice.
Sierra club put a stop to it.

The Sierra Club has put a stop to alot of road construction in the LV area becuase they say the city and state hasn't put enough effort into mass transit systems (i.e. trains)... :rolleyes:
The freight trains that run through Tucson do about 70 mph... from work I have to cross the RR tracks to get on I 10, and then cross back over them to get to the house (yes jockers, I live on the other side of the tracks... :rolleyes: ). Sometimes I'll catch a train leaving work, get on the interstate, drive 10 miles at about 70 mph, and catch same train again when I get off the highway. :rollside:
