Does anyone have a good idea how to really secure your boat when in storage? My boat trailer is made by extreme and I do have a removable tongue on it, all I can think of is to put a chain the threw the wheels and lock them.

Forget the removable tounge...that's for rookies. The chain through the tires? HA!
I say take the tires off the trailer!
Oh...but what if they bring their own? Hmmmm looks like I need to rethink this one.

Get the "Brake gaurd". Its a device the locks the Disc brakes, must have disc brakes. It works by pressurizing the Caliper with a valve that goes between the Caliper Boss and the line. This device locks the brakes on the trailer so it can,t move. If they cut the brake line it does not matter, it doesn't need the fluid. The only way is to tow the boat and trailer on a flat bed. This sounds like a great device, wish it was a true device, lol. http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy43.gif
Hope this helps, Wayne

The best way to secure a boat is to have your insurance policy cover a bit more than the boat is worth.A good thief will steal it no matter what.
