I changed my water pump impeller yesterday and noticed that one of the fins was missing and a second was missing about 1/2.
I disconnected the hose at that pump and also a hose at the top of the engine by the thermostat housing and ran the garden hose through it. a bunch of piieces of broken rubber came out.
Do I need to disconnect any other hoses and reverse flush it?
The impeller went bad last year and cost me $5k. Don't want to do that again.
Thanks.

check all fittings and especially the oil cooler if you have one.

Thanks Rex.
I do think I have 2 oil coolers?? 1 to the right of the timing cover and 1 down to the right of the oil pan.
I pull all the hoses loose and back-flush them.
Thanks again.

Think I should also pull the thermostat housing and check for debris?
