performance marine is putting a new 502 in my 26 daytona with a vortech super charger it should put about 600 hp to the prop i had 470 to the prop and i could run 78 to 80 mph on a good day just curiouse how much the additional 130 hp will give me on my top end thanks

I'd think with the right prop you should get into the 90's. My boats a 22' cat and went 72 with a stock 454 Mag. Put a 250 blower on it and it made 697 hp on the dyno. Ran 94.6 first time out without even playing with props. You're a little heavier, but the results should be close.

With the 454 I ran a 30 Bravo 4-blade with 1.50 gears turning 6000 rpms. That was a bit much for a stock shortblock. :mad:

Was yours the one with the HP500? That was a pretty nice boat. Those tail pipes sure do snake around.
The getcha about the 26 is that it really takes some big hp to make it run. There is a book lying around there that has charts for the top speed. You input the weight, hp, hull type, before vs after power, etc. and you'll get the top end. Kinda like some of the programs that are floating around on the web, but I suspect that it predates them.
