I just want to vent a lil bit well I got a new mega cab and it has 10k miles on it now. When it had like 4k it had a front diff ring went out in it and it was leaking but that is an easy fix. It was in the shop for a day I need wheels so I rented a car well Dodge doesnt give you a vehicle unless you have a extended warranty why the fawk do I need an extented warranty if the truck is only 4 months old well they said if you have one we will give you a car. I was like forget it. Well my truck had to go in today for tranny fluid leaking like crazy leaving puddles everywhere. So I called dodge today and I already knew the answer they werent gonna pay for it they told me other manufactures like ford chvy etc etc charge you for rental cars in the price of the vehicle he then prceeded to tell me Dodge sells there cars cheaper because we dont charge you that in the price and Im thinking to myself shit they are just as expensive as the other diesel trucks so where is it cheaper. I was really annoyed I didnt spend 45k on a truck to have nothing to drive or even a loaner. Dodge has left a bitter taste in my mouth. So for anyone loooking into buy a dodge vehicle just remember no extended warranty no loaner no matter if you got 500 miles on the car. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE :mad: :mad:

Hmmm. That sucks. I'm on my third Dodge after owning several Chebys and all three Dodges have been more reliable. Towed with all of them. All were 4x4's. Just some bad luck I guess.

BTW, sounds like your dealer sucks. Find a good one and stick with it. I had an awesome service writer that always handled me. Did the same when I had my chevys too. A good dealer will make all the difference. Don't settle for a shitty dealer's service.

wow el4life to bad about the dodge and thats sucks..... when we got the tahoe we had to take it back 3 weeks later for something the dealer (rydell) offered us a car for $9 bucks a day wasnt free but a least they offered...maybe its because we bought it from the same lot where we were getting it fixed but your situition sucks :yuk:

Dude, it's all who you know, my wife worked for Chrysler for years and we always had a loaner when the car was in the shop and it was always something of equal or more value. You need to find a good dealership like the post above said. Dodge even set us up numerous times to park at the dealerships when we flew out of town for long periods and they would shuttle us to the airport and pick us up. That saves a lot of money on airport parking!!! She knows almost every dealership in Phoenix the best one in my opinion has been Bill Luke.

Had a tranny leak on my '06 quad cab after 1800 miles, so I climbed under it and a line going to the cooler has a 2" piece of rubber on it and two POS hose clamps, so I tightened them up and took care of the problem. Love the Dodge though......... :argue:

Elim- I had a similar experience with my Dodge Diesel and Power Dodge Ontario. Truck was running rough after 30k and white smoke started comming out so I took it in and told them i thought it was either an injector or a mapping sensor. They told me a week later that the motor was bad from getting water in it and it was going to be 18grand to fix!!! I fought with them for 4.5 weeks, got suppervisors, corp office, newspapers, and private mechanics involved. Finally I had a friend of my dads (he works in corp office) get on the phone and threaten some jobs, well well well.... it turned out that it was the injector after all and I had my truck back that afternoon! The whole time they never offered to pay for the rental car bill. Bastards. :mad:

"10144 leaking inspected for transmission leak. Verified a very small amout of transmission fluidat the torque converterinspection cover area (seapage) but no actual drip. Removed cover and verified leakage to have orginated from the vent area. Inspected trans fluid level and found it is okay." This is the part that gets me" SUSPECT THE TRANSMISSION WAS RUNNING A BIT HOT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TOWING SOMETHING". No repair necessary

Yeah, I heard about that. When I have the programmer set to the highest HP, it puts out the biggest cloud of black smoke. I don't think I'll be running that program anymore with the bigger tires though. I don't want to break anything.

You'd need to tell the dealer you want to submit a warranty claim. They will turn it over to Corporate who will send out a person to come look at it. that's the process.
If you've modded it in anyway, that could (and probably) will affect the decision.
