Great to run into CS19 finally, bummed i didnt get to meet HBjet and see Cyclone again. Planning on a little fiesta at my house this june, tacos, bbq and beers for all the HBers...

CS19- no worries..there were lots of rad boats that day, 3 or 4 19s, 3 21s, Placecrafts and a couple Ultras, and a new 22dcb.
We left the sandbar a little after Big John left, some friends with us wanted to jump the bridge, so we ran up there.
My rig is pretty much sold, so im starting something new. It was rad to meet up with you two and dont be a nerd, Fuk staying in the city!!!!!!! You are your lady are always welcome at the Kelly Compound in Hidden Valley. Ill pm you the cell and just ring me when your going out next. We are trying to organize a big taco fiesta in june.......
LL sandbar was rad, weekend was fun..ill rock some pics later tonight.

I saw your boat several times during the weekend. The wind sucked so we drove our 4x4 to the lower sandbar. We went through the upper sandbar quickly late on Sunday w/some friends and their pontoon boat. We had our kids so we left as quickly as we entered!

Not much word on here of the large fire around Rancho. We are in Aha a few miles away from the fire and upwind so no major threat. But......12:30 at night, in a deep sleep, a lady was pounding on the back door. Telling us to get on the roof and water down the roof because an uncontrollable fire was approching fast. Talk about an instant adreline rush. The fire ended up jumping the river and traveling along the shore on the AZ side and gave our friends a big scare across from thier new place. Any news how it started?

We didn't hear anything about it at Lost Lake. I have to say though - I wouldn't be staying around watering the roof. We'd grab the kids, hook up the boat (probably even leave that!) and get the heck out of there! That's what insurance is for!!!
Hope everyone is okay. Definitely very scary. Especially with the winds all weekend!

Ya some drunk dude lost control of his truck on the 95 and ended up in the brush. The truck got stuck and the cats were sitting right on the brush and it lit. The guy lost the truck, he ended up going to jail that night for DUI.
I launched at Ranchos that next day, it was crazy down there. Fire trucks everywhere and it was still burning down there pretty good. The AZ side was still fully on fire when I dropped my boat in.Everyone got the same warning you did down at Ranchos from the Fire Dept, they were told to evacuate. If that place was to ever get fully on fire, the only way out would be on the water, its all brush going in there and you could never drive through if it was on fire.
What were you doing in bed at 12:30 anyways on Memorial Weekend? :) I heard there was a big party at Quin that night.

Saw you on the water all weekend! Met you last year at the Quin gas pumps. One question... How fast do you let your girl get that boat?
Heard you stopped by Paradise Point to chat a while, I would of liked to meet you again but was out. Looking good!

Thanks! We will be out there alot this season, flag us down next time..
I let her run it as hard as she wants but the truth is everytime she starts to get on it and the moment the secondaries come on she takes her foot out of it. :) She drove it from Lost Lake to Aha though which was cool.

how is Blythe? I've never been -I've always gone out of Havi or Mojave. Any good place to stay on/off the lake? A less crowded alternative is always a good start! Havi is getting plain dangerous (although still fun) at times. Crap, I'm getting old.

I think he is refering to your picture in your signature. Blythe is great if you have an 18-22 foot jetboat and pay attention to the river. Nice sandbars to hang out on, and smooth water. There is an eliminator 27 deck boat that runs up and down the river with an I/O but the guys knows the river very well. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you really have spent some time there. Water drops in the afternoons in blythe. There is the riveria (off the 10), hidden beaches, mayflower, and McIntyre a ways below the 10.
Some people call up by aha quin blythe, but to me thats just lower parker...Aha, lost lakes, etc they are all north of the damn and about 30 miles or so north of blythe.

I second that, Aha Quin and above is like Lower Big River i guess. I have never boated down in the city, i need to cruise down there.
Last weekend i took out a new 22IO inventory boat, It ran great and was fun. But the stress over taking out the lower unit on a stump got to me. Before that I had a Vdrive Wakeboat. Waiting for the water to come up is lame.
In conclusion, im putting together a pump boat to get me through the summer. IOs and Vdrives can run in blythe if you know the water and can handle waiting for the water level to come up.
27 Fundeck is a big boat, last weekend a 25 daytona was out and had a hard time on some of the turns.
See you guys out there. Ill post more pics tonight

Hey I saw that green boat out there. Now that I know who you are (OK, not really) I'll stop.
The v-drive in my avatar doesn't get out there much anymore. My more regular ride is a white/red vector.

The green ultra is mine. I BS'ed with a guy in a red and white vector out in Blyte one time, but I was in my old boat. Black and blue daytona sprint (beismeier copy). wonder if that was you. This was a few years back.

Yeah above the damn (lower parker) the water is low in the morning, and high in the afternoon, where down below the damn in blythe the water is low in the afternoon. So you gotta keep an eye on your boat at the sandbar, next thing you know you are sitting high and dry. I have spent a lot of time on both sides of the damn. North of the damn up by LL and up to big river its pretty rocky, where below the damn its sandy, but will clearance your pump over time.

Good chance it was. I've been going to that stretch of water for awhile. Haven't seen many, if any, red/white vectors out there. Twin turbo? That was me.

Yep. I almost asked you in my last post if it was twin turbo. You tried to race my old boat. Ran pretty good for being a bigger boat.
