A 56 will not support a wired remote. The wireless is the same one that comes with the 9857 and all of last year's models. You can purchase it as an add on, I believe it's around $45.

I have a remote for a CDA-9831/9830 that is no good to me since my deck was stolen. If it will work you can have it........( . )( . )........... :cool:
