Bought a 74 Hondo with a BBC. Has a place diverter but can't get those high rooster tails goin. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Need mo' power... :crossx: If you really need to have a bigger roost you could always add a wedge.
Also check to make sure that your diverty actually moves alway the way up.

I've got a 6 degree wedge on my Jacuzzi 12WJ. I haven't had the chance to see what the roost looks like from out of the boat, but from inside it looks decent.
Got mine from a board member. Put a post up asking for one here, and in the "SPAM" section. I'm sure someone has one laying around.

Make sure the cable is adjusted to the max setting you want.
Mark where the nozzle is with the lever in full up position. Then remove the cable and see if the nozzle goes up higher than the mark you made.
If it does, you can adjust the fitting on the cable to bring the nozzle higher. You may have to adjust inside the handle, too.

When I had my jet (Berkeley) I was able to grind the back of the nozzle and the arm to get more height out of it. Don't know if Jacuzzi is the same deal.

add a droop! 2 birds with one stone...performance and roost. and you wont need a wedge. thats what i did (jetboatperformance.com) ask 4 tom
