might be better off getting that one rebuilt thats what we do pretty costly for a new piece.

My buddy has an old Bahner jetboat with the same starter. We were able to get a replacement at NAPA in Parker.

Prestolite top mount. We have replacements in the gear reduction IMI Hi-Torque's if that one turn out not to work or you don't rebuild it. Just fyi.

I have the same starter...it's easy to work on/get into and a work horse also not to bad $$$ to rebuild. Personally I like mine ALOT!

They are reverse rotation so don't just try any starter that bolts up. make sure it turns the right way! BL

rite on bro! i had a reputable shop rebuild mine,bolted it up and it blew fuel out the carb(spinnin backwards). make sure you tell a rebuilder that its reverse rotation! its cheaper to have that one rebuilt than buy a new one.

the starter gear is stuck out and wont retract>>>

just took it to a shop by my house and he said the starter is o.k ithe starter gear wont retract untill the motor starts and it will throw the starter gear back in>>
