Believe it or not they are going to build thousands of homes in that area of the lake bed..... a developer has bought the land, and is going to move the motox park, skydiving etc and make way for homes, shops, school etc....also, theres also talk about a marina and poss a hotel on that side....
Better get in now...that area will be hot!!! yeah right

All I know is, as one of the only residential lakes in SoCal that I know of with actual boating on it... developing it should be worth billions of dollars.
I don't know what it costs to clean up the lake, but you would think it would be worth it. You could have the next "Lake Las Vegas" out there with a short commute over the Ortega Highway to the real world.
If there was ever some threat that someone would properly develop the lakeside areas and community, I would move my shop and family there in a heartbeat.
The next house I move into will be on the lake. I just need a lake...

Froggystlye - It exists...Canyon Lake but your boat is too big with the 21' limit. :rollside: At least its deep enough to resist the major algae plumes Smellsomemore has.
I always get a kick out of Hot Boats Photo shoots...Awesome boats, women, and that beautiful green soup for a backdrop.

I agree, but ive lived my whole life in the temecula valley, and have never seen 50 earth movers working on the lake bed before, its happening now.

I was on the lake yesterday and didn't notice any grading going on; too busy trying to keep from running over the lake lice.
If you would have bought lake front property 10 years ago you would be sitting on a gold mine now. Most of the rise has been in the last 5 years. A buddy bought 2.5 acres on the water for $180,000 in 1995 and it sold last year for 1.4 mil. He still has 2 five acre and 1 ten acre prime water front properties that may be for sale at the right price.
