I am thinking about getting a 60" deck tube (Airhead "Slice") to tow behind the jet for the kids. Anybody tried one of these or have another towable for one or two peeps that works good and is fun behind the jet?

Plain old air mattress is a ball. 100 foot line to get in the flat wake. Hold the rope with both hands under the pillow. Let one of the smaller kids sit on your back.
Or how about a parasail with 1200' line. I built an electric level wind spool to play out the line. It quick connects to the back of my 21' condor.
Kids are grown now and I don't want to kill off any grandkids so it just sits in the bsmt. :(
In the 70s a 4' circle of plywood was popular. Not tied, more like a weird (slow) ski.

I got an airhead 3 person tube, it's great fun making sharp turns and gas it and watch the kids get slung from one side to the other over the wakes and holding on for dear life MUHAHAHAHAHA....

Seylor (I think) "Air Force", 72" of red/white/blue terror the kids love. That and water skis.

I usually pull one tube behind the boat, but frequently pull two. And I have pulled three, but I won't do that anymore. It's not that I can't pull them, it just puts WAY too much pressure on the ski tow.
The tubes I have are the Sports Stuff brand Wake Jet Plus, which you can't hardly find anymore. They are classified as one person tubes, but my son and step-son (both about 160-170 pounds) like to get on one tube for a pretty good ride. :crossx:
There are still some Wake Jet tubes out there, like here on E-bay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7245711593&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BID_Stores_IT)

I'd love to have one, but I don't know if its worth the $600? Its called the Kite Tube, and I love the ad for for it. "Never kite higher than you are willing to fall". The pic is the boat at 20mph, and wind speed at 7mph. The kiter weighs 155lbs.

i have towed ski's--wakeboards--knee boards--tubes, but i guess the best thing i have towed is a thingy called a ski-bob (i think made by Seylor) it looks like a torpedo & can seat 1 or 2 people inline...awsome going over the wakes with 2 people trying to not fall off! lol :)

The r5are moments I pull 2 things, I switch from the tow "T" to the tie-down eyes. Yea, it's lower and I have to be more cautious of the tube rope hanging up in a wake of mine, but it eases the pull on the "T".

I have the Kite Tube...It is worth the $500 that Overtons is selling it for. Trust me, the thing is out of control in a good way. If you have no wind, you can get a guy around 200lb's up in the air about 10ft at about 22mph. When you first learn to use it, it really is a full body workout. I am still learning, but I have a smile every second I am on it.

Thats cool, I was hoping for a good review on it. Do you have to have a tower, or a high point to mount the tow rope, or will a transom mount on a jet work?

I don't have a tower yet. Actually, the instructional video from SportStuff says not to attach it to a tower. It would make the thing go way too high. Trust me, at 10ft you feel like you are 50ft in the air. The thing is pretty out of control. We are still learning. Every run gets a little better with the control. It is so touchy. I will try to get some video's this weekend and post them.

I saw a great deal on this tube at Target online ($75!). Manufacturer rates it for one person though. How big are the two riders you have towed on this thing? If it will handle both kids I think this might be the ticket. They also claim that you can steer it b/c of the sewn in fins - do they really work? Can the kids get any air jumping the wake?

Hey Wet Dream, friend of mine snapped these pics last weekend. Looks like the same thing as what you're talking about. Looks like this guy is doin just fine with a setup similar to yours.... :crossx:

I just purchased the Obrien Screamer (60-inch) tube from Overton's for $99.00. I think it is very well made. I pulled 2 kids on it (50# and 100#). It was just big enough for that, but for adults, it is just a one man ride. The kids were used to larger tubes for riding together and they felt it was a little small. If you want to beat up your buddies and teenagers one at a time, it is a good choice and I think it will hold up to some good abuse.

I towed two girls, one about 4' 6'' and one of the girls is 15 years old and 5' 10" so you can consider that a small adult size. Two kids should be no problem.
I towed my buddy 5'11'' and 230 lbs on it last week. HE managed to steer it a little. Got plenty of air over the wake. Good thing is when I whipped him he said he felt really stable, probably due to the fins I think.
So far so good after a few runs.

I thought about getting the Manta Ray. How do you like it? We bought the Wego Kite Tube instead. I heard that it flew way higher than the Manta Ray. I think, looking back, that the Manta Ray would be easier to control. Like I have said before, the Kite Tube is out of control for the most part. Gets better with every run.

You have stirrups and multiple hand grips. Ride it like a frewakin dirt bike!!
Thats my 12 yr old son on there. Got high enough to freak me out a couple o times. :p
We love it, it is a great tube for a laid back tow or an adrenaline ride. Rides the waves smoothly cause the nose is always tryin to catch air.

Any one seen both?
Need some more reviews before shelling out the cash. :argue:
