Engine mounts

BBC motor is mounted directly to the stringers in my boat. Is there any sort of aftermarket motor mounts that can get some rubber between it? Is this not a good idea? I can feel every vibration my motor makes when running.

Are you sure the motor isn't out of balance somehow? My 454 is bolted hard to the stringers and I get virtually no vibration.

might also want to pull the bowl to see if there is anything in the pump. A small rock or twig can cuase some nasty vibration.

At Idle light vibration and rattle is somewhat normal, below 1000rpm, make sure every thing is tightened up. control cables also transmitt vibrations to other parts of the boat ampifiying the issue, you make try repositioning them slightly too.
