Hei Tach Plug

In need of a GM HEI distributor tach plug.

If you have an hei ignition you dont need a tach plug it is just a male spade connector up inside and you just crimp a good tinned copper female spade connector to the end of your tach wire and plug it in. if you dont like that idea Napa stocks them for about 17-18 dollars. good luck with it

I've got it hooked up right now like you said but I'm afraid it's going to come loose on the water due to vibration. Maybe I'm worrying about nothing. Thanks

Ran my tach setup on my chevelle the same way as posted above and NEVER had a problem with it. That car saw over 50,000 miles, tons of street racing, and plenty of canyon running. Before you install the female terminal on the spade inside the cap, crimp it down a little so the gap where the spade goes is very slim. Then when you fight the female fitting onto the spade, you'll see how tight it will be.
