I have a 2001 profile cat with a 468 blower motor that puts around 525-550 hp. At the present time Im turning a 32 lab finished to a 31 pitch prop. my gps says 88-90 with low fuel, I was loaded with fuel and four people and could not get the thing to plane any idas on a better prop.

sounds like you should drop to a 28 or a 30 pitch prop. or maybe your engine is week? from what i understand all of that oil blowing over your engine cant help that much. didnt you have a jet boat blow up and a big out board blow up also just pointing the obvious.

Sounds like your running some good numbers with the horsepower you have. Try a 30 lab to get you out of the hole. You might lose some top end but gain on the bottom and mid range where you can really feel it. What gear ratio is your drive? I'm no expert but this is what I've observed and heard. Good Luck!

don't we need the gear ratio and RPM's and maybe even some more info before we make a suggestion?

I have seen my rpm range around 5000-5400. But I come out of the whole slow. Just a bravo 1 out drive.

Dallas and I are brothers who give each other a hard time about each others boats. My profile is running fine with some exceptions while the elim is still in the shop.
