Twas a really good air day.
Buyer is responsible for pick-up as this is my personal boat which I'm forced to sell due illness.
Q: Hello, Just a quick question. Did you get that speed with the three blade prop? Good looking boat!
A: No, A 2 blade! it runs just over 120 mph with 3 blade prop. God Bless and have a Great Day ! Morris
Wonder if a 1 blade would help?

I am very sorry guys. After looking at this posted picture, I just realized something that I missed before. I thought the rough plastic plash guard was just that, but then realized it was a top secret aero package. With the help of Skunk Works, this stealth aero is the secret weapon to make this true flat, a 140+ mph missile.

For the life of me I cannot find that Lenco. It must be so well hidden.
I know the splash guard is worth 5 mph..just having trouble finding the other 135 mph.

What we are forgetting here is that speed is all relative...I recently had a guy tell me that his stock 455 Olds powered Tahiti jet boat with OT's does 115mph. So if that Tahiti does 115, then this flat obviously will do 140.

Wow, 129mph test drive! So, did he provide a lifeline jacket, helmut, ballistic shorts & etc. and have emergency services standing by for your "test" drive? We just passed waders and even a snorkel. We are now 20,000 leagues under the sea (of bullshit)! A nuclear sub prepped for 5 years at sea may not survive this thread.
If somebody takes me for 129 mph test drive in a runner bottom - I would put a bullet in their head, even if it was Guru.
Did it say MPH or KH next to the 129?

no one is jealous. BS e bay ads are kinda like sport around here. When ever someone sees an e bay ad that just full O crap they post it here and we have some fun with it.
We also post the good ones too.
You see most of us have or still do race these things and know what it takes to run the number.
So if you went 129mph in that boat you went 2 mph faster then I did on this pass. So pretty much I'm calling bull $hit on the e bay ad and calling bs on you going that fast on a test run.
http://www.hotboatpics.com/pics/data/500/1503just_plain_nasty_1997_low_res-med.jpg
I think it's a cool boat. Just the write up is WAY WAY off base. Don't you think it would get better bids if the write up is at least kinda believable?

Cole Man II
06-08-2006, 08:44 AM
Superdave,
I think its a nice looking boat, but I also think he would have a much easier time selling the boat if the information in the write up was accurate. As soon as a potential buyer smells BS on just one of the crazy claims it puts the entire boat in suspect and a buyer may walk ever if he or she likes the boat for the price.
My suspicion it that the seller is playing a joke, or he really does not want to sell the boat.

Did you buy it? I sure as shit would if that terd ran the number on my GPS.
Hell, I'd pay twice the asking price.

I just hope they adjusted the cav plate before the speed run. In the pic the second from the right turnbuckle is too far up. Also, it looks like the plate is gapped a little bit more than normal.

I agree less is more on boats on ebay ( I would have said it was very fast ") .
I know most of you guys are alot more experenced than me about V's and I'll be honest if this boat would do 140 I would not have the balls to drive it !! If you beleive me or not at 129 it scared the CRAP out of me as far as my hondo will do 82 . As far as your question as the jet boat throttle it was not connected and I didn't ask him why . I talked Morris today and ask him if this crap bothered him and I wished I had his attitude " He said this is what makes America great " His wife was upset that someone called from a Califorina phone # and made threatening comments on voice mail . She said he wouldn't tell anyone this but his cancer is terminal 6 months or less to live. What I hate most is this might cost a widow money needed by lower ebay bids and I beleive someone a good boat. But I quess its all about ourselves ? Think about it or not !! Sam

superdave013
06-08-2006, 02:22 PM
Sam, sorry to hear about his cancer. That's a hard way to go for sure.
And yes, a guy would have to be a real tool to call for any reason other then a real intrest in the boat.
But this is nothing new here. I'm on a few car forums and they all do the same thing too. I guess it's call 'em as you see 'em. I bet if it was listed as very fast or as you say your Hondo runs this thread would be about a cool sanger that someone in the area should grab it up. Heck, someone still should but not thinking it's going to run as fast as the Pro Gas flats do.

QuickJet

Fatheadsam is the owner of the boat!!!
And who owns an 82 mph boat and can drive a boat to 129 mph, especially one that they've never driven before?
And who goes on a "test pass" to proove to everyone (including himself) how fast a boat is and then doesn't take any pictures of both the pass or the GPS readout.
And finially, who lets someone take their 129 mph out for a "joyride" without any intention of buying the boat?
One last thing, are those tailights and a 3rd brake light on the rear of that thing?

I usually don't even comment on this kind of thing but if you even think that boat would run 129mph much less 140mph you are out of your mind!!!! You guys have no idea how much hp it takes to go that fast. That boat coundn't run that fast even if you put alot of hp to especially with two guys sitting in it at your local lake.
I had a runner bottom Hondo with an LS7, dual 660 and mag the boat ran great but the best I ever got it to was about 101mph at the local lake.
The kilo record was 130 in a Baron sprint with a 500" pontiac head injected on alcohal putting out about a 1000hp!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a nice clean boat just tell people it runs very fast and leave it at that.
