lakes in SD

any good lakes in san diego or riverside county and how much to launch there

It depends on what you want to do.
For a simple test drive, I go to Otay Lakes. It's 1 mile from my house and costs $5 to launch. No water contact though.
San Vincente is also good. Bigger lake and some beaches to hang out on. Only limited water contact though.
El Capitan. I've never been there, but I hear it is pretty good too.
Most have a 35 mph limit, but that is not really enforced as long as you don't get stupid.
