Does any body have any info on this hotel in Parker? Thinking about going there for a few days. It has been a long time since I have even been to that neck of the woods. If it is not a good place to stay, a recomendation would be nice also. Thank you. :)

F Bluewater. I will never spend another dime there. Piss poor service to the extreme and they just don't give a shit. Stay anywhere but there.
Try JT's on the Keys, nice little place, nice folks.

Stayed once at end of season during the Enduro boat race. Had a great time, good security, nice docks, food was not bad. Water slide is like 55 degrees so your kids will freeze! I'd go again.
Gotta remember it's still the river and not the Four Seasons.

Were there at least 3x a summer. Kids love the slide, I like the beach and the slips. If were not at Echo or River Lodge camping we stay there.
Food is just OK. Service on a scale of 1-10 is about a 5. Casino is very TIGHT.
Rooms are cleaned up again. Parents just got back said new carpet everywhere. It under new management but same owners CRIT.
If you boat get a ground level floor room. Makes it easy.
We have been there quite a few times and we just know its a nice place to sleep with some extras.
It's no longer inexpensive on the weekends either.
And just keep in perspective who owns it. If you know the river than my last comment makes sense.

OCMerril & Rex1 called it right, and I might add and concurr:
Casino very tight (they own RD), bartenders incredably lazy, as Rex1 says; "The employees just don't give a shit." The management just doesn't get it.
Very easy to tag & fracture your gell coat in the marina.
Use some time and patience tieing up the boat.
Think out the bumpers. Tie them high on a low freeboard boat. 8" bumpers work best.
Not ususual for an idiot to buzz the marina at way above wake speed and you get crunched against the dock.
All rooms are awsum views.
Have a few casual drinks at the bar with the band, and observe the Engines throwing people out. Happens all day / nite long - constantly, never seen anyplace like it. Is everyone that bad?
Ground floor rooms patios have lots of 'Skeeters at nite. I mean lots.
And lots of drama with your drunken neighbors on the ground floor rooms too.
Security people are 15 year old expectant mothers, in their term month.

A view from the dock back to the hotel. NOTE & observe: Docks specifically designed to take out your gell coat. Protection is 100% up to you.
The water slide is OK, ya have to be a guest of the hotel to now use it, the water is brutally ice cold.
Buffet is either awsum,, or awful, usually awful.
Bands too,,, either great or they suck.
Best tasting draft beer on the river. DAMFINO why,, but it is.

Although fairly new to the area drove to Yuma and stopped there last week.I`m used to Laughlin that gives comp. drinks and whatever to people who gamble. The friend who was with me lost over $40.00 before any one even asked if we wanted anything. We ordered and when delivered 2 Bud lights $5.00 we were like we are playing here-- she said no comps here.So I`m going to wait in car and he agrees to leave.Insult to injury as we were leaving they conficiate the first two beers mostly full and pour out as no open containers out side.We did not see the sign, but they did not cut us any slack. I have to say not a positive experience-- but beautiful great marina just not customer friendly in my opinion.

Not sure , but I think it's AZ not the hotel that doesn't allow comps on drinks . We didn't like the ground floor , because one of us had to walk around anyway so we could lock the door . Plus all the people walking by while we were dressing

Thank you for the quick responses. I am new around here sorry to bring up topic that has been covered. I am open to any sugestions on where to stay at on the river or at the zoo. I normaly stay at Harahs and leave the boat in a slip at Katherins landing. Just looking for more options. I would like to leave the boat in the water. Thanx again

We usually hit it once a year  the kids love the slide, don't gamble much so paying for drinks no big deal and they are cheap. I agree, band can be great or real bad  suck down a few drinks and they get better
The Marina is nice to have in front of your rooms, you can keep an eye on your boat

I will NEVER spend another night or dime at the Bluewater. Rooms arent that nice, gambling sucks, service blows, expensive as hell, CRIT (need I say more). I'd rather stay at the Motel 6 just down the street for $49.00 a night.
The only thing it has going for itself is Location, Location, Location. :crossx: :)

Exactly my thoughts. I've had friends that had left stuff in the room after departing for home. They called the hotel security and were told that their items brand new swim suits from "The Beach", not cheap stuff) were safe and sound in the security office. Apparently someone from housekeeping turned it in.
They went back a few days later, happy as hell, until they were told that their items were no longerin security. As was told to my friends..."somebody from security must have taken them"
Ice machines rarely have any ice in them, vending machines for cold drinks are always empty and the service SUCKS bigtime. Can hardly get a beer at the bar, even after tipping very well after the first round.
Whatever you do, don't piss any employees off, for anything, or you'll be escorted out the front door. Seen it happen many times. Sometimes deservedly, sometimes just a pissed off indian.
Don't stay on the bottom floor unless you bring lots of bug spray. While it's convenient for boat access, the bugs make up for that. No privacy wither because everyone walking by has a direct view into the room. IMHO, the best florr isthe fourth floor. It's main floor access to the eateries and bars, hotel lobby and parkign lot.
Best thing going for it is the views from every room.
