I have a decent stereo system with Sirius I was thinking of installing in my boat. I like to listen to tunes as I'm floating along you know. Anyways, my concern is that the boat is only 18 ft, do any of you have a system installed in your jet? By system I mean 2 or more amps with components and subs.

if your boat is as loud as mine, why add anything... I bought a cheep boombox at Walmart and turn that on when I am at the beach... Best part is that I never have to worry about the boat starting when I want to go home... Just a thought...

i have a 20 foot jet and had 4 jl 6x9's 2 jl 10w6 subs and 2 alpine amps one for the speakers and the other for the subs ran by a alpine head unit. had a blue top optima just for the sterio so i knew the boat would always start.

i have 4 infinty 6x9 's and 1 kicker l5 12" powerded by a fosgate amp and a ipod. sounds pretty nice!but with the motor going i have to crank it to hear any thing. and when moving the wind noise drowns it out.

check the stereo forum... there is good stuff in their. I have an alpine deck, xm, 2 10's, 2 8's, 4 6.5's, 2 6x9's, alpine and sony amps, two deep cycle batteries on switch. So if one goes dead... I have the other.

That's what I'M talking about!!
I have a mild 455 w/ logs, but even that is music to me. If I ever upgrade my sound system it will be with OT headers.

I prefer the sound of zoomie woofers, and a blower amplifier, but to each his own!
