Is there something Iam missing, your going to sell a new DCB so you can get a Force. Did I over look Force, I thought one of the boats to own was a DCB.

HUH?? Why would you trace a DCB for a Force?
Nothing against force, but it sure isn't a DCB..

The other thing that your going to have to concederd is that if you do sell your boat you well have to change your name to Force29man, you don't want to do that do ya!

I am not selling my D.C.B. so I can get a force. I am looking to get a force for a second boat. I have a large family. And my sisters dont need to be driving a D.C.B.If I sell my Mach 26 it is only to get a f26. I am kicking myself in the ass for not getting one in the first place.

To be completely honest when I saw the F26 I was thinking the same thing, but it's 10K more than the Mach plus with the look of the boat. You couldn't just go with a 496 Ho. you would have to go with something huge to go with the haul-ass look.

Hey DCBman-
Is Dave done tooling the F26? I have a Mach 26, but was thinking about buying a F34. But maybe a F26 would be good for the Havasu water, the 34 is too big. Let me know
Thanks

Why dont you ask DAve what he would give you for your boat?

Boatjob-
Look under the "hot boats hot spots" forum- LA Boatshow: and on the second page there is a pic of the F26. It is sick! There is also pics of Extreme 28, F34 and Mach 22. You can't miss the F26- you'll see!

I talk to Carlos and Dave at the boat show they said the F26 has the same bottom as the Mach, so as far as tooling goes they should be done. The F26 is a little more heavy than the Mach but not much.

Boatjob, my $.02, wait for the F28 if you think the F34 is too big. That is going to be one F*&^%$G AWESOME machine! Great size, incredible looks . . . can't wait to see that in the magazine! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/cool.gif

Dave told me he is tooling a 29' cat not a 28. As far as the f-26 goes I think you should sit in the boat before you make up your mind to sell you Mach 26 (non canopy). The new canopy boat looks awesome, but personally I did not like how low the deck is. When you sit in the seats your leags are stretched out straight on the floor. It reminds me of my 21 Daytona. The seats are not on pedestals like the Mach 26. They said the deck height is only 2" higher than the Mach 22. It comes down to personal choice, but to me my Mach is more comfortable.

You know I did notice that the seats on the F26 where low in the cockpit. Iam sure that could be fixed by putting a taller billet stand in. I was told that the boat at the show was the first one out of the mold, maybe I miss heard. I had to give them a little bit of crap for the colors(I think someone called it a skittle). I know the boat was sold and the customer picked out the colors, but Iam sure they probably would of liked a scheme more suited for the west coast customers.

The colors were picked by the customer (east coast). I think without the flames it would not have looked so bad. I just don't like red and green together. As far as the billet stands for the seat, I don't think you could raise them because then you would be above the canopies. My girlfriend did like the taller seats in the canopy boat though because she said her neck would have some support at high speeds. It is not that bad, I just think my Mach is more comfortable, especially if you are hanging out sitting in the seats for a while. The bottoms are the same, and they said they are going to offer both canopied and non canopied 26's so it comes down to personal choice.

I have to agree with the majority here. Based on the pics of the F26, I would rather keep my Mach 26. And since I'm 6'4" I think that the canopies would be pointless anyways. And if it is true that the seats are basically as low as a Mach 22, I'm definately going to pass. I did talk to Dave not too long ago and he told me that the 28- 29 would be done soon. He also said that he was soon going to build a party cat off the 28 bottom. This is what I am really waiting for. A DCB party Cat...How can you go wrong. But the F 28 is going ot be the S@#&!!!!!!

kab

Well that sucks I just bought a Mach 26 , I wanted Dave to build a party cat but he said he didnt think he wanted to. Now your telling me he is going to build one. Oh Well.

Good Iam glad that Dave is going to do other boat sizes and shape because that means that customers that want a DCB will have more to choose from and I won't have to worry about so meany peolpe getting the same boat in the years to come. Not that Iam the first to own a Mach26 but if there are more to choose from that will mean less 26's on the water. Iam not trying to sound like a dick but you other 26's owners know what Iam talking about don't cha! Ha maybe Iam just being selfish.

kab- This is what Dave told me...And we all know you can't hold a boat builder to his word! I'll ask him at the show for sure when go to. We'll see if he still says he's going to build one.
Bigboy- I do agree with you. But how do you think people with Eliminators feel??HAHA Mach 26s are getting popular and there's nothing to do to stop it, and they are all becoming faster and faster.I'll stick with my 100 mph Daves and just be content

Doesn't the slightly older (few months ago) DCB advertisement in Hot Boat Magazine say F26, F28, F34? Is Dave changing the 28' out to a 29? I think the 28' would be about perfect size . . . not that the 26 isn't a nice size, the 28 is just a little bigger, little different. I don't personally care for the looks of the 28' Daytona or the height, but the length of a 28' sure is appealing. Not too big to really maneuver, not too small, perfect for stock twins HP 500's or one bad ass single Blower Motor. You think twins will be an option in the 28' or 29' what ever it comes out to be?

Boatjob
03-05-2002, 11:58 AM
HD- Last time I talked to Dave he said it was going to be a 28, but then somebody in this thread said it might be a 29, so I think we just have to wait and see. Whaterver it is, it's going to look great. Twins will be an option for sure. When I talked to Dave about the 28 party cat(whenever he decides to build it, I told him I wanted something along the lines of twin 500EFI's. He said that would be no problem. There is nothing like having two reliable worry free engines...

When I talked to Dave a while back they wanted to do a 28, but he said it could be anywhere in the neighborhood of 28-29'. He wants to design it where it can run single or twins, depending on the customer. I personally think that a 28/29 he builds should be running twins and feel that is what he will try to push-- cause we know DCB as a the best rigged boats, build boats and fastest!! I guess we will see when it comes out-I know I can't wait.
DCB PARTY BOAT? Now that will be the shit!

Boatjob I have a idea instead of trying to be the fastest I will be the slowest 26's out there(maybe put one of those fishing motors on my 26, you know the one that is on the front of fishing boats ran buy a foot peddle). That way instead of going by like a flash you will see me going by like a float waving like a beauty queen. Ha a ugly queen with a hair chest.

A deck boat with twins would be pretty cool.

RD- I guess it just depends on how much money you want to fork out. A 28 deck boat with twins will be a lot cheaper for me than the F34 with 900SC's that I was going to buy.

MrHavasuCat
03-05-2002, 03:16 PM
And you would have a boat that would run close to triple digits with hp power.

A deck boat with twin 300x's is exactly what I wanted DCB to build me, but no luck. Maybe in the near future.

Thats the boat I am trying to get some cash together to buy! Are you happy with your openbow/midcabin choice? Oh yeah- what engine? Top speed? I love the way it looks and the idea of more girls with me makes it more inticing. If ya have any pics, please email them to me or post em.
Thanks!

You guys are really making it tough to keep mine for sale... I must say, I was at the boat show Saturday too, and the canopies really don't do it for me. If I wanted air conditioning and a windsheild, I'll stay at the ramp in my truck. Just my .02

Roln 20's - I like the midcabin open bow, the wife and kid really love it, Lots of room. The open bow section is huge. Lots of room for extra girls. I have a 502 w/whipple, so far the boat has run 87 on gps but only 4800 rpm. I think when its all dialed in it will run mid 90's, this season. The boat is back at DCB the computer took a dump after 3 hours. Just bought a new house in Havasu, escrow should close late march, so thats when my season will start.
