I was wondering if CALGO steering is the best, or if a normal teleflex type system is good enough. I'm guessing even a rebuild of my CALGO system will be more than a teleflex, so I'll probably go for a teleflex unless someone has a compelling reason to stay with the CALGO. Also, with no old cable as reference, whats the best way to figure out cable length? The cutout on the dash is about 9 feet from the transom, and I'm gonna have a droop, and place diverter. Also, for the place diverter, I need to find cable length. If the placement of the control is 7 feet or so from the transom, how much length should I add from the transom? Thanks

Calgo is a much more positive and better system than Teleflex. If you have it stay with it.
