So my wife is at the mall and comes out to find...some asshole clipped the bumper on my Expedition and left, there was no note or anything. I know it did damage to their car, cause part of their light was on the bumper. The good thing is the only damage is to the Expedition was the eddie bauer piece that sits on the top of the bumper.
Then, I get in my Mustang at work (it has not been washed in 2 weeks) and I see a clean spot, I get a little closer and some nice fella decided to open his door in to mine, so I have a nice chip and a door ding, again no note!
My buddy has an 06 GT he parks away from people for this reason, he came out and someone had scratched his fender to the metal.
WTF? What can you do? it is a helpless feeling that there are ****ers in the world like this.

People now adays have no respect for other peoples things that they work so hard for. I found that when I have my mustang parked way out in the boobys someone always has to park right fricken next to it just because. That's why I take up two spots now. F uckem. And before anyone says anything. YES I AM THE BIATCH WHO TAKES UP TWO SPACES. :p

If i remember correctly, you live in Moreno Valley. people around here could care less about anything that is not their own. that is what really gets to me about this town. they dump sh!t everywhere becasue the are too lazy to take it to the dump. look at the sh#t boxes that drive and here, it is obvious they don't care.

nahhh, she is a good driver. I really paid attention to the marks and it was done by a smaller car, I compared it with the height of two of my cars and it is about headlight height. Plus, if she hit something, she would tell me. She was more PISSED about it.

Walked out of a terrible Mexi restaurant the other day feeling like crap and came up to the truck only to have some 300lb plumper slam her door into the side of my truck while I am 5 ft away!
I politely asked her why she felt she could use the side of my bed as a door stop to which she replied..."I couldn't fit through the door" :argue:
Had my room mate's little 6yr old cousin with me at the time and she points and says..."That's because you're too fat!"
That was well worth the ding on the paint :D :D

You could do what someone did to my wife. They were parked next to her at the Dr. office got a door ding on their drivers side rear door, most likely by the person who was parked in the space before my wife. Took a picture of my vehicles lisence plate and filed a false insurance claim against us. My wife got out of the drivers side of her car (which is on the complete opposite side of the one with the door ding, got my daughter out of her car seat which is directly behind hers and went in to the office. Next thing I know we get a letter in the mail from All-State saying that we are responsible for damages to this guys car! We are still fighting it as we speak. The funny thing is that we had to take our car to a repair shop to have pictures taken, it just so happens that it was the same place that just repainted the guys door for $750. The owner looked at our car and said there is no possible way it could have been done by our doors due to their shape and location of the door ding. Long story but it really sucks!!!

Losers are often petty and jealous; they get angry when they see folks with nice stuff. My unsolicted advice to protect your nice vehicles is to stay away from places where losers hang out! Like maybe shop at May Co. instead of Walmart. And - never - never - take up two parking slots regardless of how bitchin' your rig might be. Frankly - it is often perceived as arrogant - like, "Ohh - look at me - I'm special."
Also, we should watch out for one another. Don't be too timid to ask someone in a casino parking lot, or whereever, who looks like they are in a boat they shouldn't be in, to show you proof of ownership - AND do not - ever - be offended if someone requires that of you! Prove to them it's you boat and then offer to buy them a beer. This might be a mite idealistic - but if you have a nice rig and boat you are not just responsible for your stuff but the stuff of other hard working individuals like yourself. Hell - it's a freaken' war - us against the tweakers and the other assorted lazy-ass piece of shit do-nothings of the world.
sorry for the rant - buff

Hey Dmon,
That sucks bad. I have been lucky with mine so far, i have one small scratch on the drivers door, I think a carwash may have done it.
I always have to park way out just like everyone has said to. Plus the Expedition quite frankly doesnt fit in the spots without being TIGHT. Especially the smaller ones. I just take the walk, my girlfriend always breaks my balls about it  . But Id rather be safe than pissed.
Let me know if you need to order that Eddie Bauer piece, I will order it for you at my cost.

I hear what you're saying, and it aint cheap to get repairs.
We always get hit in the Roadrunner parking lot.
So we park out on the highway and walk in, or go to Fox's.
I gotta go with this take from FBT:
"89% of the people out there are brain dead."
-FBT
Hold that thought in talking to the public and you'll see his point.

Back a ways I had a real nice, black 4WD truck I always kept spotless. I was going to my second job and I run into a store to get something to drink before work. I walk out and see this "lady" throw the door open on her late '80's Camaro and put a BIG dent in my door. I walk up and ask her how she wants to handle repairing my truck. She tell me to F-off and starts up her ride to drive off. Don't ever do that to somebody wearing steel toed boots, properly motivated.... NEVER. :220v:
LOL. This reminds me of 5 years ago Riverkid when I had this spotless BMW M3 that I worked my ass off for! I kept it emmaculate and even the dealer was always impressed when i took it in for service.
Well I decide to take my girl to see the Lion King at the Pantages theatre in LA. We get down there, its the old parking directors with sticks routine. They guide me to a spot, lots of room, next to a decent looking old man caddy.
I am sitting getting my stuff together ready to open the door, and I will be dammed if this cotton top in the canoe throws the door open right into my baby! I was flabbergasted, and the best part, she thought the car was empty cause I had dark tint. So she just starts to walk off, like oh well!
I fly out! I yell, WTF!, my chic is telling me to chill, I am going off on the blue head and the old man. They are like, "well shit happens". Anyways, after a few choice words and deciding not to go to jail for senior citizen abuse, I said F it, try to enjoy the show.
My chic still brings that story up at just the right time with friends and family!!!

Why do IDiots do this? I do try to park next to the nice rides out in the distance also because I know they have the respect to keep their stuff primo to, and I figure if a group of us are together, less POS's to try to invade!

Guess I could throw in a couple stories here. One happened to a friend and the other my wifes car.
My buddy had taken his wife to the store in his '65 Chevelle and he would always park his car away from the others and stay in it while she went shopping. Seems silly to even take that car to the store in the first place, but then he just liked driving it everywhere so he would just look out for it. Anyway, here he is parked away from all the other cars, just sitting there listening to the radio or whatever, and a car pulls up in the spot right next to him. He said he couldn't believe it, spots were way closer to the door and this chick has to park there. Then, unbelievably, she gets out of her car by flinging the door open wide and slams it into the side of his car. I wish i could have been there to see what followed, he has a pretty bad temper. I think I got the edited version, but basically he got out of the car and proceeded to start yelling at her about what the fock she was doing, why the fock she parked there, who the fock she thought she was, etc., etc., you get the idea. She proceeds to yell back and tells him his car is just an old piece of shit and she doesn't see what the big deal is, it was just a small dent, then walks off to go into the store. She just walked away with no apology and let him just stew in it. Bad move on her part, as soon as she was gone, he trashed her car big time. Broken windows, kicked in doors, even bent the antenna. Man I wish I could have been there to see her reaction. This story is always so much better when he tells it and he wears it like a badge. I'm sorry if you don't agree, but I think it's funny as hell what he did and that biatch got what she deserved.
My wife's car story is actually quite similar. We went off to the store as well and and parked in a normal spot with plenty of room all around the car. We come out of the store and the first thing I notice is how close the truck parked in front of ours seems to be to our car. As I'm walking up to get a better look, I notice their front bumper sits a bit higher than ours and their licinse plate is sitting right on top of our bumper. I'm thinking what an azzhole, but at least it's not damaging our car. Then I take an even closer look. This dumbass had pulled his truck in so far he went completely over the top of our bumper, realized he hit our car so made an effort to back up off our car, then parked by still leaving his car parked on ours. Luckily it only left a small scratch, but come on, WTF! I couldn't believe it! I was pissed, but my wife was ready to blow a gasket. I told her I'd take care of it and she went off with the cart to return it. I paid them back with a nice, deep scratch in the top painted urethane bumper cover and called it even. She comes back and we both get in the car to drive off and start the mumbling and complaining that follows this kind of shit. She looks at me and asks how I took care of it. I tell her about the scratch and I get this look like, that's it? Then I get, "I guess I took care of it then."..........huh? As we're driving away I look over at the side of his truck and she had done this huge scratch all the way down the whole side with a key she had in her purse. :2purples: I had to bow down to her on that one. I guess the old story of a woman scorned is so true.

Parking far away doesn't do any good either. Just gives the azzholes a clearer target. My wife took my freshly painted 66 Galaxie to Cosco and parked as far away from anyone else as she could, when she came back some sh*thead ran a shopping cart into the driver side door leaving a large dent and gouged to bare metal.

What is wrong with people?
Most of them are at least one generation removed from having parents who cared enough about them, or, as a bare minimum, felt obligated to take personal responsibility for seeing that their offspring were equipped with the most basic of civilized skills necessary to get along in society.
Respect for themselves.
Respect for others.
Responsibility for their actions, and accountability for the effects of their own existence.

Years ago, I had a 66 mustang, very clean. I was sitting in the vehicle and this guy throws open his door and nails the stang. I get out take a look at my car and it has a bad door ding along with a significant dent. So I ask the guy what the heck he was doing. He says" oh well,ah too bad".So I ask him for his insurance info. he laughs and says " I'm not paying for that " I tell him he is going to pay for it one way or another, he laughs and starts to walk away. So I yell to him watch this and I proceed to cave his right rear quarter panel with my foot. You should have seen his face.

That is completely F'd up. However, that is the prime reason why I park far away, in the last spot and only take one spot. Here's something to remember. Parking far away not only keeps the door dings away, but the extra steps keep you in better shape than most lazy F*cks that have to have the front row.

Marty Gras

Parking far away is not far enough! I've had a few Vettes over the years and I don't mind walking a little further. But in Havasu you have NO hiding places! When the snowbirds come to town, it's open season on ALL PARKED VEHICLES! They don't see nor hear DRAGGING their 5th wheels over your entire car/bike. Two years ago (in old Bashas lot) I had to BANG my fist on a guys window, to stop his movement. He was about to drag his trailer over the hood of an employees car in the lot. Everyone makes mistakes, but some cannot be undone. When "snowbird season" arrives my wife and I "step down one level". She drives my sub. (leaving her ESV at home), I drive the old 76 truck or the old 79 truck (leaving the Vette at home). In LA it was theft, in Havasu it's "hit and (run) stumble" durring snowbird season. I guess there is NO SAFE PLACE. "Door dings" deserve 150% devastation in return.

Everybody has been on the receiving end of this so it seems. I had it happen
infront of the local market one day after work. here I am sitting in my pick up,
and the family wagon from hell parks next to me. 2 doors simultainiously open
up into my truck. the lady just looks, and walks off.
this happend when I was 17 mind you. at 6' 2", steel toed boots, covered in
dirt, I dented every panel on that car in a minute, then left. my only regret is
I didn't have my automatic center punch for the windows.
