can someone tell me what kind of alternator this is and where can i get another one....anyone in the Temecula, Lake Elsinore area have an alternator for sale for a 455 OLDs

It's an expensive type. Just find a GM integral (R/B # 7127) and one wire it, done deal. This isn't in a closed engine comparment is it?................MP

No, its an open compartment....but its the reason my boat will only start with a battery charger on it...where can i find the 1 wire alternator?

Auto Zone. Part #DL7140M. List is $89.99, but you should get a better price on it. Bought one last year for my boat. Works great.

$90 for that alternator..that damn thing better run 4ever...ill call around in the morning and see if i can get it and head to the lake if all works out...

got it fixed...thanks for the advice...the alternator from auto Zone was only $54...now it starts everytime i turn the key...so tomorrow ill be going to the green lake for some testing..wish me luck :rollside:

Glad it worked out for you. The price I posted was list, so I knew it would be somewhat less. Good luck on the water.
