Rumor has it, the water is pretty high this year, which means not as much overflow camping as usual. I never reserve numbered campsites, but they are always sold out early on. I believe the shasta cat attack is the same weekend, so that may lessen some of the crowd as well.

Take 65 to Rioso Rd and turn right if you coming from the south. Take Rioso rd until it dead ends then turn left. Drive until you see the south gate entrance. Sometimes the gate is open. We've gotten there at 4.30a.m. and still got in without any problems.

Actually would be no big deal but I am pressed time wise as this new enclosed trailer setup is gonna get a hell of a shake down over rough Donner Summit and I hope like Hell everything stays attatched to the walls. Have a little more work to do yet.
Oh I wont tease about being a spectator. I think all hydros should be seasoned in the garage for a couple of seasons...less motor....you know...long as they dont rust. :D

heard the water is almost to the road no over flow. hope theres enuf room for everyone, if anyone has some extra room for a few tents and a trailer that would be cool, just a few guy coming up to see some good lake race'n.
