Did a little searching, but couldn't seem to find any mention of what spark plugs to run in a mostly-stock Olds 455.
I'm not running the MSD ignition yet (haven't had time yet) but if I do, does this change which plugs I should run if I go that route?
Thanks
Rob

here's the website for AC Delco http://www.acdelco.com/
there's a listing for 3 or 4 part numbers for spark plugs. There's even a cross referrence to find out the numbers from other manufacturers.
Standard plug is R45S

A factory 1970 Olds 455 (10:1) calls for R45S plugs. For the punishment our boats dish out I'm going to go one range colder. My old low compression 403 Olds did run fine with the hotter R46S though (only 8.4:1 comp). If you're running HEI, ignore all this. :D

Currently I'm running a points ignition but I've got the pertronix ignition conversion module being shipped to me :) No more dual-points adjustment headaches.
