the new red rock casino is supposed to be pretty cool, but it is WAY off the strip. What area are you looking to be in?
The pools at Caesars, Mirage and Mandalay Bay are all pretty nice

RRoyal, you need to stay up past 9:00 when your there... How about Olympic Gardens; they have a nice buffet, valet aprking and decent entertainment. R and L can go upstairs and we can roam around on the ground floor :) :)

DO NOT STAY AT THE STRATOSHPERE...(GHETTOSHPERE). My wife and I stayed there last month. It was cheaper than others, but still on the strip. Nice restaurant on top & topless pool....THAT'S IT!!! The rest is totally ghetto.....patrons and all.
Hard Rock is sweet....The Wynn is freakin' awesome. I didn't stay there but played poker there and it was very high class for my white trash!

We were just there and stayed at the new SouthCoast. It is about 6-8 miles south of the Luxor all by itself and it is comparable to Mandalay as as far as cleanliness and quality staff. Awesome buffett and brand new beach theme pool. Very kid friendly overall. The hotel even offers licenced day care! Room Rates are 89.00 weekday and 109.00 weekend. Highly recommended!
Hope it helps!

we had a nice room at the Aladdin, that place is pretty much in the middle of things and an easy walk to just about anywhere on the strip.
The Wynn is freakin' awesome. I didn't stay there but played poker there and it was very high class for my white trash!
That place is really nice! we didn't stay there either but we did hang out there for a few hours.

The only decent pools in 'Vegas:
Palms (OK gaming rules n odds)
The Hard Rock
Monte Carlo (Awesum)
Mandalay Bay (brutally crowded pool, + the bar sux)

We're going next month also...weekend of 7/21. We're thinking of looking into the Hooters hotel since it's only girls going (there's 11 of us so far) or Monte Carlo. Anyone stay in those hotels?

Sunday is stripper day. Seriously, lots of strippers hang out at the pool on Sunday's at the Hard Rock, the hotel isn't the greatest but the pool rules. The Palms is a really cool place, pool kinda sucks though, the Rio is one of my fav's. Rooms are nice and the pool is killer. The Venician is primo, all suites and very classy. If you're into the night life, the crowd at the Hard Rock, Palms or the Rio are young crouds, lots of talent......... :rollside:

Jessi, I've stayed at Monte Carlo a few times..I think it is very nice. :) I think it's the least expensive 4 star hotel there. The rooms are nice and the casino is huge...

Hard Rock! Hands down best pool in Vegas. We went to Rehab on opening day and had a blast. Plus they have Nobu for dinner and Pink Tacos for lunch... :rollside:

I live in Vegas and have stayed at most of the nice hotels. Im 33 and my wife is 29, but we feel old at the Hard Rock (although she still wears smaller bikinis than most that stay there :) LOL). Its full of mid-west 20 somthings trying to be tooooo cool. I really dont like the Hard Rock. Maybe I have been there way too many times. Rehab is way too crowded now, and unless you know someone, its somthing like 40 bucks to get in. The casino is small and there is far better sushi around town than the overrated Nobu. The steakhouse there is about the quality of an overpriced Outback Steakhouse. Body English is not a bad club, but there are plenty others that are just as good or better.
We just stayed at Mandalay Bay for our wedding in one of the suites and it was awesome, but if you have to pay for it they are around 800.00 a night for the room we stayed in.
The Palms sucks. Too expensive, crappy pool and too far from everything.
Ceasars is cool, but expensive and way too crowded. Bradley Ogdens restaurant is one of the best (in the U.S.) and worth the price if you can get a res.
MGM, nice, but to big.
Hooters, really isnt much different than when it was the San Remo (kind of ran down looking), just cuter waitresses.
Honestly, one of the best places is the Mirage. Not too expensive, nice rooms, awesome pool, and in the middle of everything. That would be my choice.
Good luck and if you have any questions on any others, just let me know.
