I didn't want to put earings on a JackAss do I bought the cheapie Marine Radio kit from Overtons on sale for $99.
I did a good install, but it was an awkward and hard to get at job.
No fun at all.
The kids hated the Overtons radio,.
It skiped very bad, and the sound sucked.
Skipping CD's on a golf cart is a BFD,, but the trend is to IPOD so maybe it won't matter much anymore.
So I went to Audio Concepts in Simi,, and they installed a nice Alpine unit with I pod $199 for the unit, 49 installation fee.
They had to cut the dash, and spend some time sweetning the install up.
I tell ya, it sounds & looks awsum.
Far better quality sound, doesnt bump skip at all,, and it's IPOD compatible.
I learned a lesson,, price it all out first, even if ya want bragging rites for the job ya did yourself.
