Sorry for such a basic question, but this board is a wealth of knowledge. I have a 1999 GM 454 markV motor, its in a Bahner jet boat. I need to know the stock ign. timing? Thanks for any help in this matter.

Mine is running 12* base, no problems, Will be finding out this year what it peaks at (finally taped my balancer). I am not sure how many degrees my orriginal Prestolite is going to make. I am switching to MSD Ready To Run soon as budget lets me.

Put 22* in the distributor and 34-36* total all in by 2800r's depending on compression and gas used, it will start easy and run smoothe!..

This is all super info. Im using a MSD HEI dist. and my idle is around 1000ish, and running 91+ octain, what would the ign. timing be at idle. I guess factory setting? Hope these are not to basic of guestions. thanks again
