I registered for the regatta a couple of day's ago. Who from the board is going to be there? I sure would like to meet some of you and share some silvers. As you can see I'm new to the board But have had a place on the river for 12 years. Hope to see some of you there.

Momma say's if I blow another I'll be hanging a 25hp evinrude off the back http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif My place is at Rivershore Estates right across the river from the Lice rental place. Are you going out to Parker over Memorial? We are heading out Wed night.

Charley,
Hopefully we will be ther Thursday night. I don't know if the new trailer will be done by then but I might just try the trip with the POS Myco it is on now. I will make sure the bearings are greased, and at least we have AAA towing for our boat.

It is a shop trailer that is about 9 years old with a lot of salt water usage. It is probably ok, but it makes a lot of noise going down the road. As long as the wheel bearing are greased it should be ok. We will see you guys out there. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/cool.gif

I heard that the registrations are down for the the Memorial fund regatta so its time to put our money where our hearts are. The Swift family will be there (June 7,8,9).... hope to meet some of you Hot Boaters. AT a time like this we need to stick together. See you on the River

The Tunnel and Friends Regatta is going to happen regardless of how many people show up, the numbers are around 30 registered boats so far.
Friday night registration party will start at 6pm at the Nautical Inn’s Tiki Terrace. Saturday we will be having the Poker Run and the beach party in the Nautical Inn’s Cove and Saturday night we hired an awesome local band.
Please pre register if you can although we will be accepting registrations at the event.
See you there

One time we were at Windsor after Memorial Weekend...too windy to put my little boat in, so we were just sitting by the ramp, helping people and putting a few cold ones away...
...along comes a new 39' Magic ("Desert Heat")..and he drops her in the water. I end up talking to Mrs. "Desert Heat"...apparently, new boat, new trailer...but a wheel "fell off" the triple axle trailer on the way home from the weekend, so they were back to swap the shop trailer at Magic...
Make sure those bearings are greased...

Speaking of wheel bearings, I just helped a friend tow a Cigarette 42 Tiger from 80 miles east of Tuscon to Dana point on two axles on one side.
What a nitemare. He called me and said he was having tranny problems so I drove out there (525 miles) to pick up the boat and discovered that the bearings were missing out of one of the axles. We could not get it fixed out there and ended up pulling the wheel off by digging a hole (we broke a 4 ton jack tring to get it off the ground), strapping the axle up and towing it all the way back at 55 mph. It made for a long trip. I can't believe we made it on two axles (boat weighs 16,000 #). I am even more worried about the bearings now.
Hopefully we will not have any problems and we will see everybody out there.
