Yes, I agree. Soon it will be the 2010 camaro, then 2011, 2012, I wonder when it will actually be out. Poor GM, they are trying to stay afloat. :)

GM is going to have a hard time getting back in the loop. They really jacked up by killing the camaro, Ford has been selling a boat load of Mustangs.

What they really need to do is make EVERY V8 they have available. 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 truck, 6.0 Ls2, 6.0 LS7. If they just try to out-do the Mustang they'll end up with a better, but ultimately more expensive car, just like they did in the 90's. Thats what killed them. What they need to do is have a stripped down v6 to sell to girls and male nurses that think anything with 2 doors is a sports car. Then make an RS with a truck 4.8 or 5.3 and a 5 speed. A v8 has torque, 6 speeds are fun, but a 5 speed is adequate. Crank windows, no power anything. Vinyl bench seat and rubber floor mats. And don't make the wheelwells so big that it takes 22's to look right. Make it so that 15's or 16's look right. Make it as plain as a base cavalier, just have a half decent V8 and rear drive. Look how many 5.0 throttle body camaros they sold in the 80's. Sell a a couple hundred thousand of these a year. THEN, after the basic cars have paid for all the tooling, they can make higher performance cars that aren't ridiculously priced. The thing with the new Shelby GT500 is that the most of the tooling was paid for by a bunch of nurses. If they make the camaro a low-volume car with only hipo versions, it can't possibly compete in price and will end up a failure even if its faster and better built.

Ok Pricing and power aside that car BLOWS the mustang away in looks.... if they power it right and price it right it will be a mustang killer in sales without speculation :)
