thinking of buying a 22 daytona rigged by dcb, its a 1996 and has a 1998 300 promax with 250 hours on it. how fast should this boat run? the guy has a merc high 5 prop on it now that i think is a terrible prop for the boat, what should the prop be? the boat is in great shape, does 27,000 seem about right for this boat? i like the boat cause it has a lot of freeboard, is it the same hull as a dcb mach 22 or that much slower? thanks guys!

I don't know anything about what a good price for that boat would be.
I do know that a lot of people running simular boats with the 300 like the merc bravo props.
I'm not aware of anyone running a typical OB prop and having good luck with them BUT I may be wrong.

The freeboard of the 22elim is almost double that of DCB22,IMO the DCB is going to be lighter so it will be faster.Like TD said the Bravo1 will be all around great and much better then the five. The five will be good for skiing only. With standard 300 promax and sportmaster case with ideal setup and conditions i am thinking upper eightys with ultra light load.good luck
