I received this letter from the post office yesterday. It appears that during processing of my payment to AT&T one of their machines ate my letter. As you can see I received a portion of it back from the PO which had the return address along with the routing # and account # on the bottom left of the check. Now, I want you guys to pay attention because THIS CHECK CLEARED THE BANK!!!
I go on line and check the check # at WAMU and sure enough, it cleared. So then I wonder if someone other than AT&T cashed it because I got the portion with the payee back. Sure enough, AT&T has been paid! According to Cust Ser, they received a "damaged" payment. Must not have been too damaged.
Go figure.
