Me and the wife will be at Lost Lake with another couple from Friday afternoon to early thursday. We'll be in our RV's near the launch ramp. We have a brown/white 19' Charger Mini Daycruiser.
NO KIDS!!!!! I repeat NO KIDS!!!!
We'll be looking to get down, so if anything is going on give a holler! We don't get too many trips without the young'ns.

There used to be a little in years gone by. I don't know about now, but I have a feeling I'm gonna find out.
Maybe some of those guys from Aha and Twin Palms(the CP's) will make an appearance up that way.
5-10 quick boats at sunset getting whittled down to 1 would bring back lots of memories. I'll be pulling in around 1p.m.Thursday. See you guys there. RR

we will be at sand bar 3 outside of fishers. Its the sand bar above the chaos. A bit less partying which makes for more racing. From what I hear there's going to be a hand full of fast TPR's and a few others having a real good time. BBQing, Beer and racing.

Staying somewhere down in Low Riv. Not quite sure yet but I'll be there. It would be nice for a change to see some decent boats show up at LL to race. That place has pretty much lagged for the last several years. Someone post up a rally thread.

Hope that Upper Sandbar has plenty of anchorage. Sounds like space will be at a premium. That's good. LL needs a shot in the arm. Bill picked my boat up this afternoon to have the lettering done for me. Said he might change some 'hardware' for me, NOT, lol. I figure I'll change it when I need to, and I will have a screwdriver and crescent wrench with me. Also, my Ford tool!!(hammer). Sounds like a fun time is going to happen. I will run all the way up to L L And back down. maybe even due some wakeboard"n on the way. This time Ill run on my Ampm Shit... that Jet fuel your using has to much octane for my little motor. I wonder What changes you Made since we ran for Memorial? Buttons on the wheel are nice though!

Ha Ha Ha!!!!! Nah. I 've thought about it Chris with all the Huffers and Happy Tanks I see in the pictures, but not on this engine. No. I supply the power, and Bill supplies the pump and rigging. You saw my grate last October(stock as a rock). He is just dropping one off for me to try out. Says it may pick the boat up a little and help keep you in sight, lol. This engine puts out good power, but he knows that it's not even close to what to what could be in it. I'm just coming out there to drink, get sunburned and make a few ripples with my tugboat.
I'll get around to the serious stuff over the winter, after Mr. Bennett does his thing, and Mr. Kaase has time to finish a couple items I'm waiting on. Plenty of time for fun ahead. See ya Friday or Saturday. RR

How far up from Lost Lake is the Upper sand bar? It looks like there is a large diversion that was filled about 1 mile up. Is it one of the ones from there. Going up another 3 miles and there is a bridge. It doesn't look like it's much further to Big River after that.
We'll be rollin' in about 4 tomorrow and I curious to know.

Gopher, the sandbar is not too far above Lost Lake, if you go through the bridge you went too far. If your going upriver its on your left.
Riverlover,Lost Lake drags are hit and miss, its not like it used to be.If the water cleans up there will probably be some racing just before dark. There will be a few boats on Sunday from what I heard today not sure about Sat.

Riverlover,Lost Lake drags are hit and miss, its not like it used to be.If the water cleans up there will probably be some racing just before dark. There will be a few boats on Sunday from what I heard today not sure about Sat.[/QUOTE]
Well, as it turns out there were races Saturday AND Sunday but only 2 boats out of all that posted they would be there showed up. Me and JohnwithJM showed.
There was another CP with a BBC, and 2 Blown Flatties(BBC) that wanted to race(there were other "hotties" there, but they didn't want to partake??). I got to wear my new Vest and the boat ran well in the heat of the day with gps(testing). Ran better in the late evening both nites between 7-8. I let the other CP run the last to show Blown deal as I had already sawed him on Saturday and Sunday morning(he won a couple very close races). John's boat spanked mine, but that is to be expected, I think. The other Flattie with the Blower and zoomies was tough. I let him Okey Doak me on the start, and pulled him midrange and top end end several times. His boat was FAST, and showed 10-(whoops- did I say that ??????) on the gps(GOOD racing).
Too bad the rest of you guys didn't make it. I went all the way down to Aha Quin TWICE looking for fun(LOTS of C-14), but no joy. I heard one of the guys down there hurt his engine. Anyhow, too bad more guys from the boards didn't show. I did see John's boat make a couple singles before the "crowd" forced me to put mine back in, and his boat is FAST. He would have had anyone from the boards that I've seen run in River trim covered, no problem. He wore the LL Hat home.
Most of my time for the next 6 weeks will be a Mayflower Park. I like it, and the Sandbar. Save a place for me down there. RR

RR it was nice to meet you. You have a very nice boat. It was some fun racing at LL this weekend. The crowd was having a great time and it was a big crowd. The blown gas flat ran pretty good but it was the blown injected flat that I enjoyed racing the most. It is too bad none of the 6th ST. boys could make the trip up. I had a great weekend maybe next time they will show. Anyone have any pictures or video of the racing?

Likewise John. We'll do round 2 in September. I'll be there Labor Day.
I think Bill may have taken some pictures or video. I'll ask him if he did. My 'crew' failed to take any. They were too busy watching and jumping up and down(GOOD RACING-FULL PASSES). Oh well, what are fans for? See ya in September. RR

That yellow boat was looking good. I was especially impressed that they had all of their safety gear on. One of the drivers of that boat had a sweet 25' Ultra Shadow deck boat that was a jet, too. That thing was NICE. I didn't realize that they'd put a jet in one of those.
I was a little disappointed that there weren't more boats out there, but everyone watching enjoyed the show.

Nothing like seeing 8 blue candles lit on a blown injected alky motor at midnight on the river.

I think your thinking of the 23' deck.

Maybe I had it wrong, but I thought I saw a 21' and a 25' launching at the same time on Sunday. Looking at Ultra's site they don't list a 25' deck, so I must be mistaken.
I'm not much into the new boat scene, but I was a little suprised to see a jet on a new boat that big. It sounded like it had plenty of power to push it, though.
The the people launching what I thought was a 25' had to ask a huge family that was hanging out on the river launch ramp to move so they could launch. I guess he didn't feel that he had the water on the channel ramp. There were plenty of apologies so no one was being a dick. I'm sure all felt bad because the family had a couple of octogenarians (sp?) with them that took a couple of minutes to get up the ramp. That family was funny. They must have had 15+ people for 1 RV site!

Your thinking of John D's 23' and it is stout. Reher Morrison motor in it I believe. Ultra just came out with a 26' shadow, but only 1 have been laid up so far, and it will not come equipped with a jet. They do offer a jet in the 23' shadow decks though. Great lower river boat.

Well i was hoping to get up there to play with you guys on sunday but i couldnt get the injection setup to work right. We figure that the new pump i bought was no good so oh well.Sunday at about noon we took all the injection setup off truckers boat and ran it on mine sunday and monday.I didnt have any tuning time so i didnt want to come run it on sunday and i wasnt going to burn it down on some river races so i just stayed and drank.I can say that it does love alky though and is a completey different boat thats for sure.Maybe we can get together over labor day or on an off weekend sometime and have some fun.

well the motor isn`t turning out to be as bad as we thought. Timing chain broke at 6200 rpms and boat was on its bubble. Thank God that the jet away works or I might have gotten wet, heads are off and are on there way to getting fixed, doesn`t appear to be any other damage, sorry the aha crew missed you ! there was racing fri, sat, sun and monday , looking forward in meeting you and having your boat run with us :crossx: . Thanks to my buddy tony I got a little rush making a pass with him at 118. our little 18 in camp has been puttin the hurt on a lot of people it a quick little sucker, happy learned how to put!!! smile dave it doesn`t last long. nice to meet everybody at LL sandbar on sat

Who was running the purple drag boat with the big wing at Aha on Sat night?
That thing was pretty fast. I heard talk of 140.
Lots of fast cp's out there.

Yea, we saw the nice flames out of the zoomies. Saw that v from above, also an all red one. I didn't see him run, but he came by the point and gave iut a quick romp. Had a nice jump out of the water.
Thought you might show but no dice. Good action up at LL?

John, got some video from Sunday night when Mike and I were standing on the bluff across the channel. Not too great cuz it was taken with my Cannon digital camera. Anyway, you were sawing off that flatty time and time again. I'll post it up as soon as I figure out how. I think there was one good race against the flatty and the CP, I think it was Riverracer, runnin 3 wide. Pretty cool. Too bad no body else showed up.

Yes, it was me. We had raced several times Saturday and Sunday morning. I had a different grate in, and according to Bill there "may" be a problem with my shoe placement. He is going to fix it. You can see the boat going from what appears to be a grey bottom to a black bottom. That was the boat bouncing(4-5 feet). I couldn't really do well hooking up and running in the water we had, but tried a couple times anyway. Both the other boats I beat earlier ran well over the century mark, so mine will do well when it settles down and rides a little better. As far as John's boat, the only way I could beat it right now is if he broke. It's fast, no doubt. I'll be back for round 2. RR
